Marina is a Principal at Rea’s Sarasota office, bringing over 25 years of accounting expertise in small business, tax, and real estate. Prior to joining Rea in 2024, she successfully managed her own firm for 13 years. A dual-licensed CPA in Florida and Canada, Marina holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from York University in Toronto. Born in the former USSR and fluent in Russian, she brings a unique international perspective to her work. Marina is known for her holistic approach to client service, focusing on clear communication and strategic tax planning while serving as a trusted business advisor.

What do clients enjoy about working with you?

To my clients I am more than just a CPA, I’m an advisor. Someone they trust to ask for help and guidance in many areas of their business and personal financial lives. I strive to minimize my clients’ tax burden, while explaining the strategies in a way they can understand. If I can take the stress out of the tax planning and preparation process for them, I have done my job.

What is your favorite line from the Rea Way and why?

Maintain Integrity in all you do. Be Honest. Take your work personally. I ask my team to treat every client's tax return as if it was their own. They know they are making a difference in these clients' lives by doing their very best work.

Weekend Hobby: Driving my sons to and from soccer practices and games, as well as their rock band practices and performances. When I'm not doing that, I like to entertain and when I have a quiet moment, I love to read.
Interesting Fact: My family immigrated to Canada in 1991 from former USSR. I am both Canadian and a US Citizen. I speak fluent Russian!
